National Association of Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and is recognized
by the U.S. Coast Guard as exceeding the minimum requirements for the
National Recreational Boating Safety Program.

The BoatUS Foundation's Free Online Boating Safety Course is approved to meet the basic boater education requirements for most operators for the following states: Alaska, Arkasas, California, Colorado, Washington DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

General Boating Course: Test your nautical knowledge with our 75 question (65 general boating and 10 state-specific), General Boating Course. This test covers a broad range of topics that are appropriate for powerboaters and sailors. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of this 75 question, NASBLA approved course. Personal Watercraft Course: Test your knowledge of the rules-of-the-road with our 75 question (65 general boating and 10 state-specific) Personal Watercraft Course. This version of our online test covers the information found in the General Boating Course, but with an emphasis on the needs of the PWC operator.

Oregon Boating Course: Starting January 1, 2001 all Oregon residents wishing to receive a state boating card must take this 75 question version of our On-Line Boating Course.

The Online Boating Safety Course is approved to meet the basic
